Jenny and Kevin are two peas in a pod- so much so, that they decided to run with that fact and incorporate it in many elements of their wedding day. I definitely enjoyed working with them to plan their Big Day, not only because of their creative ideas and willingness to do anything and everything unique and different, but also because they are so much fun and incredibly sweet. Crissy with Christine Farah Photography totally rocked the socks off the Resort at Pelican Hill that day. Enjoy a glimpse at the day through her lense!

We were very lucky to have Nisie leading the charge on flowers- she never ceases to amaze me with her designs.
Jenny DIY’ed all of her paper details; everything from the Save the Date’s and invitations, to the programs and menus, were handcrafted with love.

Wowzers! Jenny was simply stunning all day long thanks to Katie Vollmer. And I was a big fan of her chic Pronovias gown, which she had customized into a one-of-a-kind design.
Kevin looking sharp and ever so much the groom.
Their ‘first look’ included a few happy tears.
Yeah- I would say they were a pretty fun group. Can you tell?

Our fearless doggie ring bearer Guinness- such a good boy!

Kevin and Jenny chose to include three signature drinks during their cocktail hour- shown here are two of them; ‘Jenny’s Pink Passion’ and ‘Kevin’s Blue Steel’. So cute!

I snuck the newlyweds into Mar Vista for a quick peek at the reception; after gazing around the room and taking it all in, they got right to work practicing their choreographed first dance.

The piece de resistance was the place ‘card’ (really flower) display. Nisie brought in moss filled boxes that we then stuck the flowers with name tags on them into. The name tags even contained two little seeds to represent ‘peas in a pod’, which guests could then plant after the wedding. Jenny designed and made all of the flowers as well- I adore her for it!
The ballroom was a clean, crisp mix of white charmeuse linens, white florals (predominantly dendrobium orchids) accented by aqua water, fruitwood chiavaris, and blush uplighting.

Two (married) peas in a pod!
One of my favorite ideas that Jenny and Kevin came up with, was to provide guests with party props (masks, boas, hats, glow necklaces, etc.) later on in the evening after the dancing had gotten well underway. We coordinated the reveal of the dessert buffet with Kevin and Jenny leading a parade of sorts from an adjoining room, followed by their wild wedding party, wearing the props while handing them out to guests. So.Much.Fun!! Jenny even did her bouquet toss and the garter toss with giant pink glasses and a pink cowboy hat on- my kind of girl!!
To end an amazing night- the couple opted to offer an elaborate dessert buffet (in collaboration with the amazing resident Master Pastry Chef Frederic Monnet and the Pelican Pastry team), which provided guests with an indulgent variety of Kevin and Jenny’s favorite sweet treats, many in the theme and colors of the wedding.
