Jenn + Chad’s Wedding, Cotolot Vineyards, Coto de Caza

Jenn and Chad are, quite literally, the perfect couple. The love and tenderness they show towards each other- even when simply speaking of the other person- is inspiring and heart-warming. It is truly love in the purest of forms. Getting to know them, and the relationship they have built together, was such an honor. Being alongside as they planned their Big Day- that was just the icing on the cake:)

I remember when I first chatted with Jenn- I could tell she was my kind of girl. Her energy and smile light up a room. Talking with her was like talking with an old friend, someone I had known for years. Chad is definitely cool, calm, and collected- but don’t let him fool you- he is a real sweetheart as well.

Their wedding was held at a family member’s gorgeous Coto de Caza estate, complete with vineyards they had aptly named ‘Cotolot Vineyards’ (the story behind the name is so cute- the kids in the family had referred to the land as the ‘Coto Lot’ when building the house. The name stuck!) I knew it was going to be an extremely personal affair filled with all sorts of gorgeous wine-inspired details. The super fabulous (and always a blast to work with) Tony Florez of Tony Florez Photography photographed the day; the pictures below are courtesy of his camera. Enjoy!

2N2B8312 I adore the feeling in the room whenever I arrive on a wedding day to the Bride’s getting ready location. This photo captures some of that- the buzz and excitement in the air was almost visible. Love that!

JC2I also adore Kristin! She worked her floral magic and it seemed everywhere you looked, there were gorgeous arrangements of magenta phalaenopsis orchids, vibrant green hydrangea, deep pink and ivory roses and purple tulips. Fun, playful, and luxurious- all at the same time!

2N2B8336Jenn got into her gown in the ‘Tasting Barn’ up by the vineyard portion of the estate. The barn has quite a history; the original structure was once located on a working ranch, before the Cotolot owners had it transported in to its new home on the Vineyard. I wish I had gotten the date it was built- just know it is old.

2N2B8585 167H3495Handsome Chad- remind you a little bit of anyone? Here’s a hint- think, movie about a sinking cruise liner. Agree??

167H3463 JC5 JC4 167H3454 2N2B8676 JC6SOOOO happy to be married! Love Jenn’s expression. Adorable!

2N2B8800 2N2B8749 2N2B8833 167H4066 167H4125Here’s where some of those wine-inspired details come into play. Each guest’s escort card was nestled in a bundle of wine bottle corks, tied with a delicate ribbon. (Sturdier than a single cork with a slit cut along the side- which was a good thing since the wind was whippin’ that day!)

JC7While guests enjoyed a cocktail reception down by the main house pool-side, the ceremony lawn was ‘magically’ transformed into the blinged out dinner and dancing space.
