JoAnna + Jeff’s wedding, The Oaks at Calamigos Ranch, Malibu

JoAnna and Jeff’s story brings a smile to my face. He spent an evening out at a local nightspot admiring her from afar- being the shy guy he is, he hesitated to do anything about it. It took the sly tactics of JoAnna’s wing-woman and Jeff’s wing-man to arrange for these two to strike up a conversation. Now all that doesn’t sound too funny; but bear in mind, this entire first encounter occured with JoAnna in a cast (broken foot, if I recall correctly) and some of their first words were exchanged when some drunken lady at the bar kept accidentally backing her booty (and body) up onto JoAnna’s broken limb. There- you’re laughing now, right? The rest, as they say, is history. And complete with both wing-woman (now, bidesmaid) and wing-man (groomsman, naturally), these two united as one on a lovely August day in front of their closest friends and family. Sarah (of Sarah K. Our radiant and ever-so-lovely Bride…

…and of course, her handsome Groom.

A palette of dark red, black and white was carried throughout the many details of the day. For the guest tables, an abundance of deep red roses adorned each table in an elegant glass vessel, set atop crisp white shantung linens enhanced by fruitwood chiavairs.

Joanna’s mom and step-dad devoted themselves to the favors that awaited each guest at their place setting- a gorgeous personalized wine glass packaged in a sleek white box tied with black satin ribbon. Each crafted by hand, with love.
