Anna and Johnny were destined to have a fantastic wedding celebration. How could they not- they are both so genuine, gracious, fun-loving and happy. And to top that off, they have fantastic families and enviable taste. In fact, if I were to have a wedding re-do myself, I think I might just have to say their wedding would be a perfect model for me. The location was spot-on- Gainey Vineyard is a charming and welcoming winery in the heart of Santa Ynez, just a stones throw from the quaint Victorian town (and one of my new favorite places to spend a weekend) Los Olivos. The vibe of the day rocked; no stress, just overwhelming joy in the fact that these two were tying the knot. And lots of dancing, enjoying of wine, delectable cuisine, and good times- perfection! Crissy (of Christine Farah Photography) helped add to my love of the day. Every wedding with her is certainly a fun one. Not to mention gorgeous pictures come out of her camera- see for yourself!
We started out the day with the ladies getting ready at a lovely vacation house near downtown Los Olivos
Anna’s grandmother’s purse was just one of the many personal and meaningful touches throughout the day
I had seen pictures of Anna’s elegant Monique Lhullier dress before the wedding day- but they didn’t even do an inkling of justice to how it looked on her in person. Truly breathtaking!
Definitely a huge fan of the letterpress invites they selected from Dauphine Press- so classic.
Over at the guys’ house down the street, the mood was a little less primp, a little more…Bocce ball!

After the gang got all ready, it was off to the Gainey Vineyard for the ceremony.

I love the picture Crissy captured of Anna’s mom during the ceremony; I got to know her well during planning and she reminded me so much of my mom. In fact, their relationship as mother and daughter is very much like my own. Seeing her reaction to the emotions of watching her daughter marry definitely makes me well up a little…
Married!!
Onto the details…

The handsome boys…
…and the lovely ladies

The guests ate and danced the night away under the Santa Ynez stars. What a perfect way to spend an evening!
Ring shot a la mini-ice cream cones. Love!
