Sometimes it’s just so obvious that all things happen for a reason. Case in point: wayyyy back in August, Crissy and I attended an industry mixer. The mixer was the usual fun- catching up with colleagues we hadn’t seen in awhile, taking some time out of the craziness that is ‘wedding season’, having a sip (or two) of champagne and some sweet treats. And then it took an interesting turn- you see Crissy happened to strike up a conversation with a team of up-and-coming event designers who call themselves Sugar & Fluff. The name definitely stood out, and talking with them made it very apparent that they had ideas galore and were just itching to let them out upon the world. Flash-forward to December, and after months of e-mails and planning, the following photo shoot was born. A collaboration between the superbly innovative team at Sugar and Fluff, the fantastical creative direction and photography of Christine Farah Photography, and making-things-happen coordination by Platinum Weddings by Kerrie (me!), and a list of quite a few other talented vendors; the shoot encourages couples to step outside the box when designing their wedding.
You can read more about the design inspiration in our lovely feature on the Green Wedding Shoes blog. For now, I present our ‘Steampunk marries Anthropologie’ photo shoot:
