Alex + Michael’s Wedding, Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel

Alex and Michael’s Ritz-Carlton Laguna Niguel wedding was an absolute dream. I am truly lucky to work with so many couples and families that make what I do even more enjoyable- but Alex and her mom Karen hold a super special place in my heart. Their families as a whole, it turns out, are just the BEST people and full of life. Which makes sense that one of our main goals for the day overall was to be sure the party was set up to be a total blast! Of course there were décor choices to be made- which we kept classic and clean per Alex’s taste; all white flowers throughout the ballroom, loads of twinkling candles and glass candelabras, neutral but elegant bridesmaids gowns. But the fun elements were in abundance- a cigar lounge in honor of the Father of the Bride, selfie sticks for all the moments to be captured, a killer band that kept the dance floor packed, and of course, an appearance by the In-N-Out truck (when in California, this is a must). What a joy it was to work with Kelly and Joe (of Kelly Hornberger Photography) who are dear friends of the bride and groom but also amazingly talented Texas-based photographers. So many gorgeous images from the day and below are my absolute favorites- enjoy:)

Can we just talk about Alex’s AMAZING Sassi Holford gown for a second?? I mean, it has pockets!! She fell in love with it the moment she put it on at Mon Amie Bridal salon. And the crown she wore so perfectly- her grandmother and mother both wore it on their wedding days. Sigh….

Sara + Ash’s Wedding, Pelican Hill Resort, Newport Coast

Sara and Ash’s beautiful wedding at Pelican Hill Resort was an absolutely fitting for their sweet love. Their story began when their adorable moms conspired to set them up- what started as a blind date at the Rooftop in Laguna Beach turned into a nine-hour first date and the two were smitten from there. Their long-distance romance continued until finally Sara moved back to Orange County. Ash knew she was the one and when the time came to pop the question, he wanted to sweep her off her feet by land, by sea AND by air. An afternoon for the two of them sailing on a yacht included a ring and a proposal (as dolphins swam around the boat!), then they were whisked away in a limo to celebrate with both of their families at Mastro’s Ocean Club, where finally a small airplane flew overhead trailing a banner that read ‘A rooftop romance, she said yes!’. The stuff that movies are made of, right? Their gorgeous wedding day was an absolute joy to design with them- the soft peach tones we ended up incorporating were perfect for the early-summer day. And of course magnificent floral chandeliers throughout the ballroom took a beautiful space to the next level. Working with Jana (of Jana Williams Photography) is always a breeze and she took SO many fabulous photos. Below are my favorites- enjoy:)

I am still OBSESSED with Sara’s incredible Ysa Makino gown from Mon Amie Bridal. Everything about it- the full and ruffly bottom, the detailed lace and beading, the hints of bling, the slightly sheer back! Perfection!

Patricia + Chris’ Wedding, Monarch Beach Resort, Dana Point

Patty and Chris’ choice of Club 19 at the Monarch Beach Resort as their wedding venue was a total was a no-brainer. Boasting both unparalleled ocean views and impeccable service (two must-haves at the top of their wish list), the unique indoor/outdoor vibe was exactly what they were looking for. We set out at the start of planning with the design goal of creating a traditional, classic wedding with soft and romantic colors. Rich pink and blush shades were balanced by touches of champagne and ivory, with lots of billowy floral blooms throughout. Crystal chandeliers and a soft ceiling treatment completed the very magical look. Victor (of Victor Sizemore Photography) photographed the day beautifully- below are my favorite of the images he captured. Enjoy:)

Patty’s lace sweetheart neckline Maggie Sottero gown (purchased from the White Dress Bridal Boutique) was gorgeous- I loved the elegant detail on the back. And of course her classic soft gold Manolo Blahnik heels!

Kim + Austin’s Wedding, Laguna Cliffs Marriott, Dana Point

Kim and Austin had an incredibly love-filled wedding day, made even better by the gorgeous views at the Laguna Cliffs Marriott Resort and Spa. It’s so easy to get swept up in the details that go into creating such a special occasion but these two and their wonderful friends and family were so present and happy to be celebrating love! I truly enjoyed working with the talented Lindsey (of Lindsey Gage Photography); and she captured so many special moments that day. Below are my favorite- enjoy:)

Stephanie + Phil’s Wedding, Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel

Stephanie and Phil’s Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel wedding managed to be both an elegant evening AND an absolutely perfect reflection of the fun dynamic they have as a couple. We kept their décor palette clean and bright with crisp shades of white and ivory, which worked perfectly given the gorgeous ocean view ceremony location and the neutral shades in the ballroom. And one element that I think Stephanie totally nailed was the varying bridesmaid gowns- with some in a soft floral print and others in varying neutrals, each girl was able to best compliment their own style while still looking cohesive.  I don’t think this is a ‘trend’ I will ever tire of! The always amazing Jasmine (of Jasmine Star Photography) was our rock-star photographer that day, and of course she took so many beautiful images. Below are my selection of my favorites- enjoy:)

Stephanie has impeccable taste! Her delicate Jimmy Choo flats and beaded, form-fitting Lazaro gown (purchased from JLM Couture) were absolutely gorgeous.

Jacqueline + Francois’ Wedding, Hyatt Regency, Newport Beach

Jacqueline and Francois’ Mariners Church and Hyatt Regency Newport Beach wedding was a beautiful blending of two cultures, two families, and two lives. Francois hails from France- and the couple met and fell in love while Jacqueline was traveling in Europe- so their wedding day was definitely an international affair. One thing I learned about the French- they like to party! And LATE! When Jacqueline first met with me, she explained that in France weddings will go until the sun (literally) comes up. She wanted to embrace this as much as we could being in the US- and we found a perfect fit with the Hyatt accommodating the party late into the night. And then when the party finished everyone headed back to a private villa for pizza- I mean, how fun right? I loved working with Gavin (of Gavin Wade Photographers), and it puts a smile on my face looking back at all the images he took. Below are my favorites- enjoy:)

Jacqueline’s delicate lace gown was absolutely gorgeous on her- designed by Allure Bridals purchased from Mon Amie Bridal Salon.

Tina + Dan’s Wedding, Skirball Cultural Center, Los Angeles

Tina and Dan opted to host their Skirball Cultural Center wedding the day after Halloween, so it was fitting that they incorporated touches to represent the Dia de Los Muertos celebration (like the most amazing skull groom’s cake!). Beyond that Tina adores purple and wanted her flowers to include a variety of shades of the color. I loved the gorgeous ceremony structure Flowers by Cina designed- provided such a beautiful backdrop for their sweet ceremony. The team at Lin & Jirsa (as always) provided so many amazing photos- below are my favorites. Enjoy:)

Emily + Phil’s Wedding, Private Residence, San Juan Capistrano

Emily and Phil are the kind of couple everyone likes to be around. They are just SO much fun, and their love is contagious. I was so honored to be able to work with them especially since their ‘backyard wedding’ (really though, soooooo much more than that term lends itself to) was such an incredibly personal day. It’s always special when a home is opened up for such a tremendous event- and this beautiful ranch style home in San Juan Capistrano was the absolutely perfect setting. I adored working with Camryn (of Camryn Clair Photography) and can’t wait to do so again in April. She took some pretty fantastic photos of the day, and below are my favorites- enjoy:)

Pretty obsessed with Emily’s lace, very soft hint of blush, gown designed by Matthew Christopher and purchased at Mon Amie.
