Angie + Cameron’s Wedding, Pelican Hill, Newport Coast

Angie and Cameron are just the sweetest. Together since high school, they have built a solid network around them of loving friends and family. It was incredible to see everyone come together for their wedding day- I swear you could actually feel the energy of all the love in the air. So much excitement and happiness! It was a bit of a circuitous path that led these two to me, and I am so happy that it did. It was fun working with Ashley Concolino (of APictureLife Photography)- her pictures captured the gorgeous day perfectly. Enjoy!

Angie’s Kenneth Pool gown was so floaty and ethereal- absolutely perfect for her!

Seriously- Angie you are just so gorgeous! I love Angie’s ’Something Blue’ Manolo’s making an appearance.

Angie and Cameron’s fur-baby Captain made a surprise appearance and served as proud honorary ring doggie.

Married!!

Lots of timeless, elegant details throughout- classic whites and ivories, pretty touches here and there. Fitting since I have dubbed 2011 the year of ‘bringing pretty back’. You just wait!

The Pelican Hill Pastry team did a great job creating a cake inspired by Angie’s gown.

Chantal + Scott’s Ritz-Carlton, Marina del Rey Wedding, Revisited

Chantal and Scott’s wedding had so many elements that I loved- a vibrant yet classic color palette, an overall timeless feel, loads of personal meaning behind every selection they made for the day and beautiful locations. Since we are heading into our winter here in Southern California, let’s take another look at the lovely summer day courtesy of Palos Studio.

Sarvenaz + Kevin’s Wedding, The Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel

Where do I even begin with Sarvenaz and Kevin? Sarv found me later in the game of wedding planning- but that didn’t stop us from bonding instantly. Her beaming smile and passion for life are infectious, and every minute I spent exchanging e-mails, phone calls or (when I was really lucky) spending some time together in person with her was so enjoyable and didn’t for one minute seem like work. It was like planning the wedding of a near and dear friend; a friend who implicitly trusted me and was incredibly grateful to have me by her side. When time came to finally meet Kevin it was amazing to see the Sarv that I had come to love glow even brighter and smile even wider. The two are a match made in heaven and they bring out even more of the best of what they each have to offer.

And their story; ohhhhh, their story! It is a page straight out of a fairytale- first date in Cannes, third date in Monaco, their first ‘I Love You’s’ were exchanged in Sweden…and this was only the beginning. They have had so much fun together and share a love of adventure. I can only imagine the great places their marriage will take them to. I was honored to be a part of this chapter of their lives, and look forward to updates as all the wonderful things that are bound to happen to them do.

Sarv’s exquisite Stephen Yearick gown was a total show stopper, to say the least. I knew she was going to be beautiful on her wedding day (she is gorgeous without a drop of make-up on…) but she took my breath away 100%!

I like to call this “the many faces of Sarv“; also, “the smile that lights up every room“.

I am crazy about the recent return to the classic bow tie tuxedo by many Grooms. You just cant go wrong- so handsome!

WOW. Just WOW.

Sarv incorporated varying shades of pink throughout the day, from a bold magenta to a softer blush. Perfect for their June wedding just on the edge of full-blown summertime.

Their 40 dove release was totally magical and absolutely magnificent.

Sarv and Kevin opted to include elements of Sarv’s Persian heritage in the ceremony; so they exchanged a taste of honey while her brother (who served as officiant- and did a great job, at that) explained the meaning of the tradition.

Here are more of those gorgeous pinks I mentioned earlier, with touches of white and ivory for balance. Dark wood accents were added here and there as well to give the design a more organic feel- despite the bold palette.

Of course there was LOTS of dancing:)

I love this moment Vanessa captured- in the foreground you see Sarv and Kevin dancing, and just beyond them- Sarv’s sister and dad sharing a dance, glancing over at the newlyweds with so much love in their eyes. You can’t create moments like this- this is truly, what it is ALL about!

Alex + Ben’s Wedding, Point Vicente Interpretive Center and Private Residence, Rancho Palos Verdes

Alex and Ben are a super sweet, fun-loving, down-to-earth couple. What I love most about them though is how much they absolutely adore each other. Being involved in weddings is a constant reminder to me of how lucky I am to have my own husband that I love wholeheartedly- but it is always invigorating when a couple comes along that truly inspires me to be a better wife to Greg. Just watching the two of them interact- how gentle, respectful, and kind they are to one-another; every couple should strive for this. And they are living it on a daily basis. I was obviously very touched and blessed to be a part of their wedding, and even luckier to get to work with Gabriel of Gabriel Ryan Photographers again- it has been too long! Here are my favorites from the beautiful and personal day.

Alex and her bridesmaids got ready at Alex’s parents’ home- the same place the reception was at later in the evening. I can only imagine how special it must be to be in a place filled with so much comfort and love on one of the biggest days of a woman’s life…

Alex chose to take a part of her moms wedding gown (the lace cuff, to be specific) and have it wrapped around her bouquet. Loved that idea!

Meanwhile, Benny and the guys got ready at Terranea- where the ladies would join them later for Alex and Ben’s first look and portraits.

The ocean front ceremony location was perfect for the beach-loving duo.

Soft, romantic and vintage inspired details were the name of the game.

Jenee + Ethan’s Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel Wedding, Revisited

I’m sure you’ll remember this lovely couple who had an equally as lovely wedding. Jenee and Ethan shared the start of their forever together with their closest friends and family this past Fall at one of my favorite venues, the Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel. Below are a few more gorgeous images from the day photographed by Crissy (of Christine Farah Photography). Since then they have shared another new beginning as they recently welcomed a beautiful baby girl into the world. Thrilled for them!

Jenee + Ethan’s Wedding, The Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel

Jenee makes Ethan’s eyes light up. And Ethan makes Jenee smile and laugh so freely. They are two of the nicest, most genuine and caring people I have met. It was only natural that they tied the knot on a gorgeous and sunny day in early September. When Jenee first came to me to help in planning her wedding, she had a few criteria. Most important was the venue- beach was a priority. The Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel was a seamless fit with its breathtaking views and on top of that, sleek and modern decor which appealed to Jenee’s keen design-sense. Beyond that, she had a very clear vision of what direction we would head decor wise; deliberately simple yet undeniably elegant, rich shades of pink as the only accent color against natural whites, and as eco-aware as possible. The phrase ‘less is more’ has never been so beautiful! Crissy (of Christine Farah Photography) brought her A-Game as usual and provided us all with some fantastic images from the day. Enjoy!

See those luscious gardenias in Jenee’s lovely bridal bouquet? They smelled absolutely AMAZING; take it from someone who was there. Dawn (with Lavender Hill) totally understood Jenee’s vision and brought it to life as only she could do.

There’s that fantastic smile- I wish you could hear her laugh through the picture. I love Jenee’s laugh. Oh, and for the record, I also love Jenee’s delicate Australian accent. Perfectly matches her adorable personality:)

Audrey + Alireza’s Wedding, The Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel

Audrey and Ali are the type of couple that have a ton of fun together. Their wedding day was overflowing with it, in fact. They were both so at ease and just happy to be celebrating their marriage; it made the day seem almost effortless. Smiles were everywhere- worries were not. My kind of day! It also helped that I had a fantastic crew alongside me, including Michael (of Michael Norwood Photography). Besides being a pretty darn cool person, Michael also happens to have a reputation for always capturing pretty images like the ones that follow. Love that about him. Enjoy!

In case you are wondering, Audrey’s delicously lacy confection of a wedding gown is courtesy of Pronovias. (Well, Pronovias AND Audrey’s good taste to choose it:)

Audrey was lucky to have her wish of an all-Amaryllis bouquet fulfilled by Kristin (you’ve seen lots of her before- the Treasured Petal. Rings a bell, right?)

There’s that fun and sassy side making its debut- the birdcage veil was a perfect look for the lovely Audrey.

This was actually the first wedding I have ever had with bridesmaids in white and I have to say, it looked fantastic. The red shoes and burgundy bouquets popped even more off the cool, crisp white dresses. And take it from someone who was there- the white dresses did not take away one ounce of Audrey’s gorgeous bridal glow in her own white dress.

L-O-V-E.

Five- count ‘em- five adorable, sweet and VERY well-mannered Flower Girls made their debut at the wedding. Adding to their adorableness? The precious wreaths Kristin hand-crafted.
